Advertising disclosure

Free to read, paid for by partner links. Here is exactly how that works and what it does not buy.

celeros.online is free to read and carries no advertising scripts. It is paid for by affiliate commission. This page explains exactly what that means, what it does and does not do to what we publish, and how to recognise a commercial link on this site.

1. The short version

Some links on this site are partner links (also called affiliate links). If you follow one and go on to sign up for or play the product, the partner may pay us a commission out of their own marketing budget. It never costs you anything extra, the price or the terms you are offered are the same either way, and the payment has no influence on what we write.

2. How to spot a partner link here

We do not hide them. Every commercial link on celeros.online carries all of the following:

  • A visible label reading “Partner link” inside or directly beneath the button itself — including buttons in sidebars.
  • A note immediately under the call to action stating that we may earn a commission and that it costs you nothing extra.
  • The HTML attribute rel="sponsored nofollow noopener", which tells search engines the link is paid and passes no ranking credit.
  • A disclosure bar at the very top of the page, and a disclosure box immediately after the headline — both above any promotional content.

If you ever find a commercial link on this site that is missing any of those four things, that is a bug and we want to hear about it: info@celeros.online.

3. How the money actually flows

Four-step flow: you read the article free, you choose to follow a labelled partner link, you sign up or play on the partner's own site, and the partner may then pay celeros.online a commission.
The complete commercial model of this site. Original diagram.

We are paid per qualifying action — typically a registration or a first session — as defined by the partner programme, not by us. We are not paid for a page view, and we are not paid more for a positive review. We have no way of knowing which individual reader did what, because we run no tracking of our own.

4. The redirect step

Partner links on this site point at an address on our own domain (currently /c/1/) which forwards you to the partner. That page exists so that a tracking address can be changed in one place instead of in every article. It sets no cookie, stores nothing in your browser and shows no advertising. It is excluded from search indexing via robots.txt.

The redirect carries forward campaign parameters that were already present in the address you arrived on (for example utm_source or a click identifier appended by an ad platform). It does not create, read or store any identifier of its own.

5. What commission does not buy

  • It does not buy a positive verdict. The article that earns us money also states that the AI is crude, the balance is uneven and the matchmaking can produce lopsided rounds.
  • It does not buy advance sight of an article. No partner reads a piece before publication.
  • It does not buy a correction. Change requests from commercial partners are handled exactly like any other — on the evidence.
  • It does not buy coverage. We choose what to write about before any commercial arrangement is considered.

This is set out in full in our editorial policy, section 4.

6. What happens after you click

Once you follow a partner link you leave celeros.online and you are on the partner’s site, under the partner’s terms and the partner’s privacy policy. We have no control over what they collect and we cannot read it. Our zero-collection promise covers this site only — we cannot and do not extend it to anyone else’s.

Because we set no cookies and run no analytics, we receive no personal data back from the partner either. Commission reporting reaches us as aggregate counts, with no information identifying any reader.

7. Trademarks

Enlisted is a trademark of its respective owner. celeros.online is an independent publication and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Gaijin Entertainment, Darkflow Software or any other rights holder. Brand names appear for identification only.

8. Legal basis for this disclosure

We publish this because readers are entitled to know when a recommendation is commercially motivated. It is also required of us: Article 7 of Directive 2005/29/EC on unfair commercial practices, as implemented in Czech law, treats a failure to identify commercial intent as a misleading omission. Czech Act No. 480/2004 Coll. requires commercial communications to be clearly identifiable as such.
